New Graduate Physical Therapist – Home Health

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a new‑graduate Physical Therapist to join its Big Island Visits team in Hilo. You will provide in‑home rehabilitation services, helping clients regain independence while enjoying flexible scheduling and a supportive, mission‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mobility, strength, balance, and safety assessments in clients' homes.
• Create individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans and deliver gait training, manual therapy, balance work, and therapeutic exercise.
• Implement skin and wound‑prevention strategies and educate clients and families on long‑term self‑care.
• Document all care using BAYADA’s tablet‑based EMR system.

Required profile

• Current Hawaii PT license (or eligibility) and graduation from an accredited PT program.
• Willingness to work in a home‑health setting with a focus on patient autonomy and relationship building.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (training provided).
• Ability to use a tablet for documentation and care planning.
