School Behavioral Technician Trainee (ABA Support)

About the role

Join BAYADA Home Health Care to provide one‑on‑one support to children and young adults with autism in Hawaii school districts. This trainee position offers comprehensive training, supervision, and the opportunity to earn a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with students in the classroom, following established service plans and implementing behavior therapy techniques.
• Collect and document behavior data, track progress toward goals, and provide training to help students acquire and maintain skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and school teams to support student independence and interpersonal development.

Required profile

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to pursue it (training provided).
• At least 18 years of age.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100, or passage of the ParaPro Praxis Assessment (assistance available).
• Experience with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities is a plus but not required.

Required skills

• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
• Behavior data collection and documentation.
