About the role
Sharp HealthCare is offering a one‑year Nurse Residency Program for recent nursing graduates. The program provides a supportive, flexible environment to help new RN’s transition from classroom to bedside while building confidence and competence.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in classroom and simulation curriculum lessons.
- Engage in clinical and interprofessional experiences across acute and specialty units.
- Attend individualized orientations and ongoing professional development sessions.
- Celebrate key milestones with peer group support.
- Reflect through journaling, self‑care activities, and mentorship.
- Contribute to safe, high‑quality patient care under guidance of experienced mentors.
Required profile
- Graduated from a U.S. state‑approved, accredited nursing program within the past 18 months.
- Current, unencumbered California RN license by program start date.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Less than 12 months of paid RN work experience at the start of the program.
- Eligibility to apply before licensure is granted, provided licensure will be obtained before the start date.
