New Grad RN Resident – Post‑Surgical Unit

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident position supports patients on the 2 East and 2 South med/surg units at Marymount Hospital, providing pre‑ and post‑operative care for orthopaedic, general surgical, and complex medical cases.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care under the guidance of a success coach, following the residency curriculum.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity, preferences, and resource availability.
• Monitor and respond to clinical data indicating patient risk, initiating corrective actions.
• Document all care activities accurately in patient medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Current or pending state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA) at hire.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid RN licensure.
