New Grad RN Resident – Neuro/Stroke

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join the 4th Floor Neuroscience Unit at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, providing care for patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis. This night‑shift position offers a one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program designed for recent nursing graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care on a 20‑bed neuroscience unit, interacting with patients, families, and visitors.
• Participate in the residency core curriculum, including online modules, simulation labs, and hands‑on training.
• Establish and revise patient care priorities based on acuity, patient preference, and resource availability.
• Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk and take corrective action.
• Seek supervision or assistance when needed and document all care in medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.
