About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute is seeking recent nursing graduates to join a year‑long residency in the M80 Neuro Transitional Care Unit. Residents provide direct patient care in a step‑down setting for complex neurological conditions while developing advanced clinical skills.

Key responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care on a day/night rotating schedule (7:00 am‑7:30 pm / 7:30 pm‑7:30 am).
Participate in a customized residency curriculum and work alongside a success coach.
Perform and assist with procedures such as intracranial pressure monitoring, lumbar punctures, and central/arterial line placements.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN nursing program.
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
New graduate RN or less than one year of RN experience.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
RN licensure and ability to document in electronic medical records.
Competence in performing neuro‑related procedures (ICP monitoring, lumbar puncture, line placements).
