New Grad RN Resident – Med/Surg & Telemetry

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Mercy Hospital on the 2M Med/Surg & Telemetry unit, providing care to a diverse surgical and medical population. This one‑year, accredited Nurse Residency program supports new graduate RNs with online modules, simulation labs, and hands‑on training while you work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach, prioritizing patient acuity, preferences, and resource availability.
• Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure continuity of safe, effective care.
• Document patient care accurately in medical records and seek supervision when needed.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with less than one year of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current RN state licensure.
