New Grad RN Resident – Medical Telemetry

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join the 7M Medical Telemetry Unit at Mercy Hospital in Canton, providing care for patients with complex medical needs while participating in a one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care under the guidance of a success coach, including monitoring telemetry, managing catheters, tubes and wound care.
• Participate in residency curriculum, simulation labs and hands‑on training to develop clinical competence.
• Document patient care accurately and respond to clinical data indicating risk to patient health.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate RN or less than one year of RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• RN licensure and ability to perform bedside nursing procedures.
