New Grad RN Resident – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a newly graduated Registered Nurse to join its Magnet‑recognized ICU team. This one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program provides hands‑on training, simulation labs, and online modules to develop critical care expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients, interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Participate in the residency core curriculum, including simulation labs and hands‑on training, while working under a success coach.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity, patient preferences, and resource availability.
• Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk and initiate corrective actions.
• Document all care activities accurately in patient medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification by hire or within one year.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills
