New Grad RN Resident – Complex Medicine Unit

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join the 5th Floor Complex Medicine Unit at Marymount Hospital, a 12‑bed telemetry unit caring for adult medical‑surgical patients with multiple comorbidities. This one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program provides hands‑on training, simulation labs, and online modules to build strong med‑surg and telemetry skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients, families, and visitors while documenting care in medical records.
• Participate in daily plan‑of‑care visits with attending providers and collaborate with a success coach.
• Respond to clinical data indicating patient risk, initiate corrective actions, and seek supervision when needed.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
