New Grad RN Resident – Complex Medical Care Unit

About the role

The New Grad RN Resident will join the Complex Medical Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital, providing care to adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic conditions. This one‑year accredited Nurse Residency program offers hands‑on training, simulation labs, and online modules.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care on three wings (West, South, East) and float across units as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to educate patients, families, and visitors, and document care in medical records.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity, preferences, and resource availability.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate or less than one year of acute inpatient RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
