National Rental Customer Development Manager

About the role

Join Ryder as a National Rental Customer Development Manager and manage relationships with top national rental customers across the West and Central regions. This 100% sales position focuses on retaining and growing existing accounts, increasing wallet share, and getting more trucks on the road.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a book of approximately 100 top national rental accounts.
• Develop sales and communication plans for each account and lead customer meetings.
• Attend customer events, trade shows, and conduct annual business reviews.
• Analyze profitability, understand competitive influences, and partner with Rental Account Managers to develop their skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of sales experience with a record of quota achievement.
• Prior experience as a Rental Manager, Rental Account Manager or Business Development Manager preferred.

What we offer

• Base salary $70,000 per year plus uncapped commission (average first‑year earnings around $115,000).
