MRI Technologist 2 – Full Time

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth – Department of Radiology at South Miami is seeking a full‑time MRI Technologist 2 to perform advanced magnetic resonance imaging procedures and support research and education initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental MRI procedures.
• Perform diagnostic imaging studies under radiologist supervision, including patient positioning, IV placement, and contrast injection.
• Assist in developing new imaging protocols and ultrasound techniques, and support research initiatives.
• Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, label and transmit images to PACS.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines (Joint Commission, ACR, FDA, etc.) and uphold aseptic technique.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology/Diagnostic Imaging program.
• Valid Florida State License as a General Radiographer and ARRT registration with certification in the primary modality.
• Minimum three years of relevant MRI technologist experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.

Required skills

• MRI scanner operation and safety procedures.
• Ultrasound equipment usage and protocol development.
• PACS image handling and labeling.
• IV placement and contrast administration.
