Mobility Programs & Outreach Manager

About the role

The Mobility Programs & Outreach Manager leads LSU’s transportation demand management initiatives, promoting alternatives to single‑occupancy vehicle travel for students, staff and visitors. The role combines program development, stakeholder outreach, and communications to increase use of transit, carpool, rideshare, micromobility and other emerging mobility services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a campus‑wide transportation demand management strategy, including transit, car‑pool, rideshare, micromobility, bicycle and pedestrian programs.
• Conduct outreach with students, employees and campus groups to identify travel challenges, gather feedback and design practical mobility solutions.
• Lead communications and marketing campaigns to promote new services, service changes and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate advisory committees, collaborate with internal partners (Facilities, Planning, Police, Sustainability, etc.) and maintain relationships with external transportation vendors.
• Track participation, ridership and customer feedback; prepare reports, proposals and budget recommendations for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in program development, outreach or transportation demand management.
• Valid driver’s license; may require motor vehicle record check and drug screening.
