Mental Health Therapist – Outpatient Care

About the role

Amae Health is launching a new high‑acuity outpatient clinic in Long Beach, CA, and is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join the integrated care team. You will provide direct therapeutic services to adults with severe mental illness, working alongside psychiatrists, primary care providers, dietitians, and community health workers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group therapy to a panel of complex SMI patients.
• Offer continuous, regular support in‑person and occasionally via virtual visits.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions within a holistic, wrap‑around care model.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary patient care teams to ensure coordinated treatment.
• Address medical and social determinants of health that affect patient outcomes.
• Provide consultation to other clinicians as needed.

Required profile

• Licensed mental health therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent) authorized to practice in California.
• Experience working with severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar I, or treatment‑resistant depression.
• Commitment to integrated, team‑based care and continuous learning.
