Clinic Director – Specialty Outpatient Mental Health

About the role

Amae Health is opening a high‑acuity outpatient clinic in Long Beach, CA, focused on severe mental illness. The Clinic Director will lead an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, longitudinal care.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, health coaches, and support specialists.
• Oversee daily care‑coordination meetings, guiding treatment plans and ensuring high‑quality patient outcomes.
• Directly manage complex patient cases and support clinicians with interventions as needed.
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to improve quality of care, outcomes, and cost‑efficiency.
• Identify process gaps, drive continuous improvement, and document lessons learned.

Required profile

• Unrestricted California license as a Psychologist, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, or LPC.
• Demonstrated experience working with severe mental illness and creating individualized treatment plans.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to coach, negotiate, and inspire the team.
• Organizational skills for planning events, managing multiple responsibilities, and maintaining documentation.

What we offer

• Base salary range $125,000 – $145,000 per year, adjusted to market.
