Medication Assistance Program Assistant

About the role

The Medication Assistance Program Assistant provides standard program support and coordination for the Medication Assistance Program, assisting patients and healthcare providers across various locations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate program activities and travel to on‑site locations to support the Medication Assistance Program.
• Serve as the first point of contact for program information, handling inquiries and requests.
• Conduct personal interviews with residents, assist with pharmaceutical applications, and follow up on pending cases.
• Maintain pharmaceutical company and client databases, compose correspondence, reports, and edit program materials.
• Provide culturally appropriate patient support through structured visits and follow‑up calls, helping patients overcome barriers to care.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience in public health, health outreach, or health education.
• Ability to speak English and Spanish.
• Community Health Worker certification or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
