Clinical Project Manager (Animal Health)

About the role

Clinaxel, part of a group of Animal Health Contract Research Organizations serving the global animal health industry, is looking for a North American-based Clinical Project Manager to join its expanding field clinical trials team. The position is remote, with occasional office visits, and offers professional growth in the animal health sector.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate field clinical trials (FCT) across all phases, from feasibility assessment and set-up to close-out, reporting and study master file compilation, and liaise with internal teams and external partners and vendors.
• Manage communication with the Sponsor and ensure FCT quality and timely completion according to company SOPs, policies and Sponsor expectations.
• Keep projects on agreed timelines, quality and cost, and report project status, budgets and timelines to management and Sponsors through regular review meetings.
• Identify risks such as technical feasibility, resource availability, timely execution and budget constraints, and contribute to study-level risk assessments.
• Develop and maintain project management tools such as Gantt charts, budgets and forecasts.
• Serve as primary project contact with Sponsors and develop site training materials, including study-specific and GCP materials.
• Mentor and train team members on FCT management, and fulfil Monitor responsibilities in GCP and non-GCP studies where applicable.
• Lead global study-level documentation and the set-up of required tools and systems.

Required profile

• DVM or a related Life Sciences degree, with at least five years of experience in field clinical trials and project management.
• Industry awareness, including knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector, FDA/CVM, USDA/CVB, EMA and VICH guidelines, clinical field trials and data quality requirements.
• Animal health clinical experience highly preferred.

What we offer

• Salary of $100,000 - $150,000.
• Remote work with potential for regular travel.
