Medical Technologist – PRN, Day/Evening/Night Shifts

About the role

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist to join its General Lab. The role involves performing and interpreting laboratory tests of all complexity levels while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality laboratory testing and report results in compliance with AHCA, CLIA, COLA, and JCAHO standards.
• Accurately identify patient specimens, ensure specimen integrity, and resolve testing criteria issues.
• Operate the laboratory information system to manage pending specimen results and report critical values.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions, perform maintenance checks, start‑ups and shutdowns.
• Provide technical support and consultation to physicians, phlebotomists, and nursing staff.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological Sciences or Medical Technology.
• Florida state licensure at technologist level, with specialties in Microbiology, Immunohematology, or all.
• Certification eligible or certified as MT, MLT, or MLS by ASCP (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one year of clinical experience (preferred).
