Medical Technologist – Night Shift

About the role

The Medical Technologist will perform and interpret laboratory tests of all complexity levels during the night shift at Hillcrest Hospital. This position is eligible for a $2,500 sign‑on bonus for external new hires and offers the opportunity to work in a Magnet‑recognized facility.

Key responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis, reporting and record keeping.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge, adhere to quality control policies, and document all QC activities, calibrations and maintenance.
• Perform proficiency testing in compliance with CLIA regulations and ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain instruments and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Participate in continuing education, professional development and annual competency assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science or equivalent CLIA qualification for high‑complexity testing.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or eligibility for certification (ASCP or AMT preferred).
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
