Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) – Per Diem – Day Shift

About the role

Perform laboratory procedures to generate results used by providers for diagnosis and treatment. Work with minimal supervision, applying independent judgment in a high‑complexity testing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high, moderate, or waived complexity testing using advanced clinical laboratory instrumentation.
• Verify, confirm, and report results independently, monitoring for reasonableness and critical values.
• Execute quality control procedures and troubleshoot any issues before reporting patient results.
• Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment per standard operating procedures.
• Provide clinical orientation and training for new employees or students.
• Identify and correct instrument or procedural malfunctions and document troubleshooting activities.

Required profile

• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high‑complexity testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science, or CLIA‑grandfathered qualifications with 1‑year clinical laboratory internship.
• ASCP certification (MLS, MLT, or MT) or AAB Board of Registry certification.
• Demonstrated technical competence, dependability, and flexibility with scheduling.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific documents and basic English.
