Medical Technologist / MLT / Lab Technician

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital as a Medical Technologist, MLT, or Lab Technician and contribute to world‑class patient care. You will perform and interpret laboratory tests of varying complexity, ensuring accurate results that guide clinical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis, reporting and record‑keeping.
• Maintain regulatory knowledge, adhere to quality‑control policies, and document instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Perform proficiency testing in compliance with CLIA regulations and report results accurately.
• Identify and resolve test performance issues or promptly notify supervisory staff.
• Provide education and training on laboratory theory, technical skills and safety protocols to students and staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science (or equivalent).
• Meets CLIA high‑complexity testing personnel qualifications.
• Certification eligible or certified as MT, MLT or MLS by ASCP or AMT (preferred).

Required skills

• PCR knowledge.
• Pipetting experience.
• Microscope specimen analysis and color differentiation.
• Instrument maintenance and calibration.
• Quality‑control documentation and CLIA compliance.
