Medical Laboratory Technician (MLS/CLS/CLT)

About the role

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to support a wide range of clinical laboratory services across multiple disciplines. The role involves performing tests, maintaining instruments, and ensuring quality results for patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lab Manager in daily operations across Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, Serology, Toxicology, Urinalysis, Transfusion Medicine, Molecular Diagnostics, and Phlebotomy.
• Perform pre‑analytic, analytic, and post‑analytic testing on body fluids and specimens using quantitative, qualitative, and automated methods.
• Validate and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with quality control standards.
• Obtain specimens from patients of all ages, including infants, and provide informed consent as required.

Required profile

• Licensure by the Montana State Board of Clinical Laboratory personnel as a medical laboratory technologist.
• Associate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related chemical/biological science.
• At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong technical reading ability and near‑perfect visual acuity without colorblindness.
