Medical Assisting Program Director / Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a full‑time Medical Assisting Program Director/Instructor for the Appalachian Campus of Chattahoochee Technical College. Reporting to the Dean or Associate Dean of Health Sciences, you will lead instruction and program management for the Medical Assisting program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum for face‑to‑face, online, lab and clinical settings, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards.
• Manage the laboratory environment, maintain safety protocols, and supervise student clinical experiences.
• Assess student learning outcomes, prepare accreditation reports, and advise students on academic and career pathways.
• Plan and oversee the program budget, clinical affiliate relationships, and advisory committee activities.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Medical Assisting or related health field.
• Current NCCA‑accredited Medical Assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, or NCMA).
• Minimum three years of health‑care practice performing both administrative and clinical duties.
• Post‑secondary teaching experience in vocational or technical education.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard Learning Management System.
• Curriculum development and evaluation.
