Medical Assistant (PRN) – Family Medicine

About the role

Revere Health is seeking a certified Medical Assistant to support a family medicine practice in Payson on a PRN basis. The role involves assisting providers, ensuring patient information accuracy, and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate patient care under provider supervision, interview patients, record medical history, verify visit purpose, and reconcile medication lists.
• Prepare patients for examinations and perform preliminary physical tests.
• Maintain and safeguard medical records, perform diagnostic and procedure coding, and ensure confidentiality.
• Assist with office procedures, injections, and triage phone messages, communicating test results and scheduling referrals or follow‑ups.
• Submit prescriptions per provider instructions and coordinate with insurance companies and pharmacies for prior authorizations.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and equipment functional, and uphold clinic safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain CPR certification and adhere to professional standards.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and certification.
• CPR certification (or obtain within 4 months of hire).
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally; stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Strong computer, telephone, and communication abilities.
• Excellent customer service, organization, attention to detail; self‑starter and team player.
