Full-Time Medical Assistant – Family Medicine (Payson)

About the role

We are seeking a certified Medical Assistant to join our Family Medicine practice in Payson. The role supports providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining a professional office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Interview patients, record medical histories, verify information and reconcile medication lists.
• Prepare patients for examinations, perform preliminary physical tests, and assist with office procedures and injections.
• Handle phone triage, schedule referrals, follow-ups, and submit prescriptions as directed.
• Maintain accurate medical records, perform diagnostic and procedure coding, and ensure confidentiality.
• Coordinate with insurance companies and pharmacies for prior authorizations.
• Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and equipment functional.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and certification.
• Current CPR certification (or obtain within 4 months of hire).
• Ability to lift up to 10 lb regularly and 50 lb occasionally; stand or sit for long periods.
• Strong organizational, communication and customer-service skills.
