Medical Assistant – Otolaryngology

About the role

The Medical Assistant will join the Otolaryngology team at Fairview Hospital, providing direct patient care and supporting clinical operations in a fast‑paced, Magnet‑recognized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with screenings, treatments, specimen collection, and documentation of patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions, communicate changes, and update health‑maintenance information.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and examination areas to ensure a safe clinical setting.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (within the new‑hire period).
• Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
• Military medical training (hospital corpsman, combat medic, or medical service technician) considered a plus.
