About the role
The Medical Assistant will support the OB/GYN team at Union Hospital, providing patient care, clinical assistance, and administrative support during daytime shifts.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and update patient health information, medication changes, and allergies.
- Collect specimens, perform basic tests, and document patient care.
- Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the care team.
- Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
Required profile
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting Program.
- Completion of a clinical externship or equivalent extensive clinical experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) within the new‑hire period.
- Current demonstrated clinical proficiency.
