About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System in Port St Lucie is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its Neurology team. You will work in a patient‑first environment, supporting clinicians and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Room patients, collect specimens, perform basic tests, and document care.
  • Process in‑basket items, handle administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition and assist with screenings and treatments.
  • Administer specific medications under provider direction and maintain equipment and exam areas.

Required profile

  • Graduate of an approved Medical Assisting program or equivalent military medical training.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).
  • Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience with demonstrated proficiency.

Required skills

  • Medical Assisting certification (CMA, NCMA, or CCMA) – preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
