About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Independence Family Health Center as a Medical Assistant in Internal Medicine. This part‑time position supports primary and specialty care for adults, providing screenings, treatments, and administrative support in a patient‑friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with screenings and treatments, update health maintenance information, and document medication changes.
• Collect specimens, perform basic tests, and monitor patient condition changes.
• Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved medical assisting program or equivalent military medical training (Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic, or Medical Service Technician).
• Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain during new‑hire period).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical assisting techniques, including specimen collection and patient screening.
• Data entry and patient registration procedures.
