Medicaid Plan Pharmacy Director

About the role

HCSC is hiring a senior pharmacy leader for an individual Medicaid health plan. The role is accountable for pharmacy strategy execution, regulatory compliance, financial performance (including quality withhold and penalty programs), member and provider experience and stakeholder engagement. It sits in a matrixed enterprise model, working closely with enterprise clinical and pharmacy operations teams while meeting state-specific Medicaid requirements.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent experience
• Registered pharmacist in the state
• 7+ years of experience in managed care pharmacy
• Preferred: experience in the managed Medicaid space

Required skills

• Knowledge of medication use evaluation principles and drug information skills
• Analytical skills and strong financial and analytical acumen (preferred)
• Window-based word processing, spreadsheet and relational database software
• Verbal and written communication, handling multiple priorities and resolving issues with customers, employees or management
• Ability to stay at a workstation and enter data for long periods

Work arrangement and pay

• Flex (hybrid) role: 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
• Base pay range of $121,200 to $225,200, varying with skills, experience and location
• The role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to its terms and conditions
