Clinical Account Consultant - Pharmacy Medicare Formulary Strategy

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Clinical Account Consultant for its Pharmacy Medicare Formulary Strategy position in Chicago. The role covers the development and execution of Medicare Part D formulary strategy in line with CMS regulations, ensuring the health plan's formularies meet regulatory requirements and company goals. It is a flex (hybrid) role with three days in the office and two days working from home.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist
• 4 years of managed care pharmacy experience or 4 years of consulting experience in the pharmacy benefits industry; a managed care residency can substitute for the 4 years of managed care pharmacy experience
• Preferred: Pharm.D., managed care pharmacy residency, 2+ years of Medicare Part D experience, and knowledge of Medicare Part D regulatory requirements

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmacy benefits products, services and concepts
• Analytical skills, including developing reports and synthesizing data into recommendations
• Written and verbal communication, including presentations to external business leaders or large audiences
• Collaboration, relationship building, project management and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Preferred: knowledge of pharmacy claims systems, formulary development and maintenance, and technical writing or policy development experience

What we offer

• Base pay range of $102,000 to $184,300, varying with skills, experience and location
