About the role

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans for adult medical‑surgical patients.
• Admit and monitor patients, including vital signs, symptoms, and post‑surgical recovery.
• Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and manage medical equipment safely.
• Provide direct bedside care, wound care, pain management, and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and specialists for coordinated care.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with standards.
• Support pre‑ and post‑operative care while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in unit‑based quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact state eligibility).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care or Med‑Surg nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as needed.
