Lab Assistant

About the role

Join the front line of healthcare heroes as a Lab Assistant, ensuring patient specimens are processed, prepared, routed, and stored correctly. You will work in a clinical laboratory environment, handling biological hazards while maintaining safety, compliance, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process, prepare, route, and store laboratory specimens accurately.
• Identify when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control in the lab.
• Operate general laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, computers, telephones, and audible alarms.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with privacy standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work safely with biological hazards and use personal protective equipment.
• Bonus: 1‑2 years of related experience in a clinical laboratory, data entry, or production.
