About the role

Rendezvous Robotics is developing electromagnetic self‑assembling tiles for modular spacecraft. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern you will work hands‑on with flight hardware, contributing to the design, analysis, and integration of structural and docking components.

Key responsibilities

• Design and iterate structural components and docking interface hardware.
• Develop thermal management solutions for electronics and battery packs.
• Support mechanical integration of power systems, sensors, and electronics within tight envelopes.
• Create and refine harness and connector layouts between internal subsystems.
• Run structural and thermal analyses to validate designs before build.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., Onshape, NX, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
• Understanding of basic structural and thermal analysis principles.

Required skills

• CAD modeling (Onshape, NX, SolidWorks, Fusion 360)
• Finite‑element analysis (FEA) tools such as NX Simcenter3D, FEMAP, ANSYS
