Manufacturing and Test Engineering Intern (Spring 2027)

About the role

Rendezvous Robotics is developing self‑assembling spacecraft tiles that can dock and build larger vehicles in orbit. As a Manufacturing and Test Engineering Intern you will support the creation and validation of these modular components during the Spring 2027 term.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain testbeds for power, docking, and communication subsystems.
• Create and refine work procedures for manufacturing spacecraft tiles, seeking efficiency improvements.
• Develop fixtures and test jigs to enable repeatable hardware verification.
• Track manufacturing defects, analyze root causes, and feed findings back into design iterations.
• Assist in building data pipelines to capture test results consistently across builds.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a related program.
• Comfortable using hand tools, performing basic soldering, and assembling hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written test procedures.

Required skills

• Python programming for data logging or test automation.
• LabVIEW or similar graphical programming environment.
