Mechanical Engineer – Rapid Prototyping & Production Design

About the role

We are a fast‑moving startup developing next‑gen pulsed power systems for defense and industry. As a Mechanical Engineer you will work hands‑on, designing, building, testing and iterating high‑consequence hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Own rapid prototyping from concept to physical part using FDM and SLS 3D printing.
• Transition prototypes into scalable production parts via casting and injection molding.
• Design and build complex test fixtures for high‑voltage environments.
• Assist in mechanical design and packaging of complete systems.

Required profile

• Portfolio of hands‑on builds (e.g., Formula SAE, personal robotics, garage projects).
• Demonstrated grit and ability to solve hard engineering problems quickly.
• Comfort working with high‑voltage or energetic materials while following safety protocols.
• US citizenship or permanent residency (ITAR/EAR compliance).

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, NX, or Fusion 360).
• Experience with additive manufacturing (FDM, SLS) and subtractive processes (casting, injection molding).
• Knowledge of designing fixtures or enclosures for high‑voltage systems.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
