Mechanical Engineer I

About the role

Perform, direct, and coordinate activities involved in the design, analysis, fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer statements of work, specifications, and manuals to ensure requirements are met for new product design and hardware modifications.
• Design components of mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, pneumatic, or heat‑transfer systems and prepare detailed drawings and schematics.
• Perform engineering analyses using finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), hand calculations, and other methods.
• Assist in fabrication, testing, installation, and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with industry, government, and customer standards.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair, evaluate field installations, and recommend design modifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 1‑4 years of related experience in mechanical design, development, and analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with machine tools or manufacturing processes such as welding, sheet metal, plasma, laser, or water jet is preferred.

Required skills

• 3‑D solid modeling with SolidWorks.
• Structural FEA using SolidWorks Simulation.
• CFD tools: ANSYS CFX, ANSYS FLUENT, SolidWorks Flow Simulation.
• MATLAB.
• Microsoft Office suite.
