Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor)

About the role

The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) is a part-time, field-based role supporting customers in Lodi, CA and surrounding areas. Working independently in a traveling field capacity, the technician provides professional customer service, performs in-home measurements, takes measurements, reviews quotes and coordinates installations within the Measurement Services center Field Services Organization. The position reports directly to the Assistant Market Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Complete daily routes for pre-assigned measure appointments as efficiently and accurately as possible (about 60% of time).
• Ask customers open-ended questions about their projects and product needs, describe product features and benefits, and identify opportunities to engage customers in other services programs (about 35% of time).
• Follow policies and procedures and adhere to the work schedule (about 1%).
• Cooperate with associates, supervisors and managers to complete other assigned work activities (about 4%).
• Provide accurate measurements, calculations, quote review and presentation, using company-issued devices.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of previous related work experience.
• Reliable transportation; travel between locations is required.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift or carry material of moderate weight (8-20 pounds); work is indoors and conditions may cause mild discomfort occasionally.
