Materials Master Scheduler

About the role

Adient, a global leader in automotive seating, is hiring a Materials Master Scheduler. The role keeps all resources informed about customer demand events that can affect delivery performance, including ERP maintenance, demand variation communication and premium freight events. It is based in Foamech, Georgetown.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the ERP system for material functions such as item master, bill of materials, ship-to locations and inventory parameters.
• Create daily production schedules and ensure production output is recorded and posted in the ERP.
• Communicate No Surprise Forms to customers when demand varies and share demand information plant-wide.
• Reconcile customer inaccuracies and track inventory issues with Material Analysts until they are fixed.
• Coordinate daily MRP runs and supplier schedule output, and track and submit premium freight events caused by customers, including creating recovery packages.
• Support customer delivery ratings performance and act as lead for BOM teardowns.
• Communicate, track and implement engineering changes proposed by program management.
• Provide macro-level support to key performance measures such as inventory valuation, inventory accuracy, premium freight and production downtime.
• Take part in health, safety and environmental investigations and the 8D process, report accidents and HSE emergencies, and ensure compliance with safety procedures and BOS compliance to MMSA procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience preferred, ideally in an automotive background.
• Consistent employment record with good attendance and ability to adapt to a participative work environment.
• Ability to read safety rules, blueprints and procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, and use basic arithmetic.
• Computer literate and able to create visual aids for communication.
