About the role
ABB is hiring a Material Handler for its ELSP Smart Power business in Mebane, NC. The role reports to the Warehouse/Internal Logistics Supervisor and involves handling parts and semi-finished or final products in the warehouse or to and from the production line. It is an on-site position.
Key responsibilities
- Sort and arrange material for storage according to guidelines.
- Perform routine warehouse activities according to established procedures.
- Pick components from stock for dispatch and pack them on pallets.
- Transport boxes and carry out other collection, storage and warehouse tasks.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to safely use a ladder when needed.
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
- Work authorization permitting work for ABB in the US.
Required skills
- Preferred: experience operating industrial vehicles such as forklifts and electronic dollies (training provided).
