Material Handler I

About the role

Enviromedica, a fast-growing natural products manufacturer and distributor based in North Austin, Texas, is hiring a Material Handler I for its manufacturing department. The material handler distributes materials during production in line with cGMP standards, keeps inventory levels under control and maintains a safe work environment. The role may involve working in different departments, with appropriate training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a lift truck and/or forklift (training provided)
• Pull materials for daily production according to the bill of materials and check in deliveries, performing sampling as required by SOPs and quality standards
• Complete cGMP paperwork thoroughly and promptly
• Perform housekeeping, conduct cycle counts and materials inventory as directed
• Assist in preparing and palletizing outgoing freight orders
• Meet unit quality and productivity metrics, assist in other areas as cross-trained, and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school diploma
• Forklift certification
• Ability to read, write and speak English and understand basic math
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds and to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Willingness to work overtime as required
• Preferred: some college coursework, previous cGMP experience, previous MRP experience
