Marketing Lead

About the role

Be the first marketer at SageOx, an early‑stage AI startup, shaping the brand, voice, and market perception from the ground up. You will own the narrative, drive awareness, and connect with the builder community across social and events.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute SageOx’s voice on X and LinkedIn, publishing threads, posts, short videos, and longer pieces weekly.
• Engage with developer communities on Reddit, Hacker News, Discord, and Slack, becoming a trusted presence.
• Own product launches end‑to‑end, coordinating announcements on Hacker News, Product Hunt, and other channels.
• Identify high‑impact platforms, podcasts, and speaking opportunities for founders and team members.
• Lead event strategy: select, attend, and host meetups, hackathons, workshops, and dinners in Seattle, San Francisco, and other hubs.
• Systematize measurement of qualified sign‑ups, conversations, and event follow‑ups; run experiments and iterate.
• Leverage AI agents to scale research, drafting, monitoring, and reporting workflows.

Required profile

• 2–7 years experience in developer marketing, community, DevRel, social media, or events for technical products.
• Deep alignment with SageOx’s mission and daily use of the product.
• Fluent with AI tools and the broader AI ecosystem.
• Proven track record growing audiences, communities, or channels and running successful events.
• Technical credibility to explain and demo the product to engineers.
• Strong ownership mindset, able to deliver outcomes with limited resources.
• Comfortable collaborating with founders and engineers, communicating progress clearly.
