Manufacturing Estimator

About the role

The Manufacturing Estimator provides basic support and ownership of simple estimating assignments within the manufacturing domain for Department of Defense (DoD) clients. The role requires technical proficiency, moderate supervision, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Independently prepare cost estimates for straightforward manufacturing projects or components using established estimating principles.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data such as material costs, labor hours, and vendor quotes, leveraging historical data and industry benchmarks.
• Maintain detailed estimate documentation, generate reports for senior staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and DoD regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams, and interact with vendors or customers as needed.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase estimating efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, cost estimating, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently on simple assignments and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cost estimating tools.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
