Manufacturing Engineering Manager

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead projects and programs that drive the development and commercialization of advanced semiconductor equipment. The role is based in Austin, TX and offers the opportunity to work with global teams across Singapore, India, and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects and programs, ensuring preliminary activities such as outcome determination, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning are completed.
• Deliver projects in line with product/process specifications, cost targets, resource utilization, and schedule commitments.
• Document all phases of project and process development and ensure information transfer to other functional areas.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, including engineering notebooks, IP, ISO, safety, and confidentiality.
• Allocate material and financial resources efficiently to maximize productivity.
• Assign work to staff, provide coaching, and support professional development.
• Oversee departmental budgets and spending requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's of Science in engineering or a related discipline.
• Ability to work across time zones with international counterparts in Singapore and India.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to partner sites in Santa Clara, Singapore, and India.
• Understanding of Applied Materials' Global Standards of Business Conduct and ethical expectations.
