Manager of Campus Creative & Licensing

About the role

Abilene Christian University (ACU) is hiring a Manager of Campus Creative & Licensing in Abilene. The position leads Campus Creative, a campus-support unit within the Marketing Division, and requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to support the university's Christian mission.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead Campus Creative: set up its operational framework and launch strategy, define its identity, and build partnerships with academic departments to create a sustainable student internship pipeline.
• Mentor student designers and interns, own self-service brand tools (Canva templates, Canto assets, brand guidelines, logos, photography), and release new branded template drops regularly.
• Use AI, automation and workflow tools to streamline creative production, and coordinate with the project management team on feasibility, timelines and outsourcing.
• Oversee print vendors and creative production partners, and maintain a vetted network of freelance designers and photographers.
• Lead the licensing program, working with the Licensing Coordinator on retail partnerships and product opportunities, and enforce trademark compliance with licensed and unlicensed vendors.
• Build relationships with campus partners, host training sessions and webinars, and guide creative requests through the project intake process.

Required profile

• 5-7+ years in design, creative operations, marketing services, licensing management, brand management or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring designers or leading creative workflow, and overseeing external vendors or programs.
• Preferred: higher education experience, licensing or merchandise production experience, intern or student worker management experience, and familiarity with Canva, Canto and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Must be a professing Christian willing to support the university's Christian mission.
