Manager, Merchandise Planning

About the role

Rothy’s is seeking a Manager of Merchandise Planning to lead the Women’s Footwear planning function, overseeing sales, gross margin, inventory and receipts across direct‑to‑consumer channels. Reporting to the Senior Director, you will drive end‑to‑end planning strategies to exceed financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Own all aspects of Women’s Footwear sales, gross margin, inventory and receipt forecasting.
• Lead and develop a team of planners/analysts, ensuring continuous growth and performance.
• Guide in‑season financial management, including open‑to‑buy, pricing and demand‑driven buying decisions.
• Partner with Merchandising, Production and Site Merch teams to optimize performance and align forecasts.
• Identify and implement process improvements and innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in merchandising or demand planning within retail, with strong DTC/omni‑channel experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing a planning team.
• Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical and retail math skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑influence abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with Google Suite.
• Familiarity with Shopify.
• Knowledge of Toolio, SAP and Centric platforms.
