Director, Global Sales Compensation

About the role

Redis is seeking a Director of Global Sales Compensation to own the GTM compensation strategy for a worldwide organization of over 500 participants. Based in the SF Bay Area with a hybrid work model, this role reports to the VP of GTM Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the annual sales compensation planning cycle, including plan design, pay mix, accelerators, and cost modeling from AOP inputs through CRO and Finance approval.
• Lead plan rollout across AMER, EMEA, and APAC, handling documentation, participant communication, and manager enablement.
• Define quota setting, allocation methodology, territory crediting, split, and overlay rules in partnership with Sales Ops, Finance, and sales leadership.
• Govern SPIFFs, exceptions, and disputes, maintaining policy, approval processes, and audit trails.
• Measure plan effectiveness through attainment distribution, cost of sales, and payout analysis, providing design recommendations to GTM and Finance leadership.

Required profile

• 8+ years of sales compensation experience with ownership of plan design.
• Experience across multiple B2B technology sales environments (SaaS, cloud, or infrastructure software).
• Proven track record managing compensation programs for several hundred participants across roles and regions.
• Strong financial modeling skills for plan cost, attainment scenarios, and payout curves.
• Ability to present and defend plan recommendations to executive leadership.
