Manager, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) – Fort Worth

About the role

The Manager, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) leads and provides technical expertise for HSE programs across Alcon’s Fort Worth campus. The role maintains effective management systems, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with site leaders to identify and control HSE risks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and serve as Radiation Safety Officer and Laser Safety Officer.
• Oversee TSCA and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) reporting, monitoring, and waste-management activities.
• Lead governance, auditing, incident investigation, risk assessment, and procedure development.
• Inspect workplace incidents, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Develop and manage training plans for environmental and employee health and safety, and maintain relationships with community and environmental groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., high school + 13 years, associate + 9 years, M.S. + 2 years, Ph.D. + 0 years).
• Minimum five years of relevant HSE experience.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work onsite in Fort Worth with minimal travel.
