Manager, Financial Reporting

About the role

Treaty Oak Clean Energy, a utility-scale clean energy platform based in Austin, Texas, is looking for a Manager, Financial Reporting to lead technical accounting, financial reporting and audit coordination. The role prepares audited and unaudited financial statements across multiple legal entities and acts as the main liaison with external auditors on technical accounting matters. It reports to the Director, Corporate Accounting, who is being filled in parallel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and review of annual audited financial statements and interim reporting across multiple entities
• Lead day-to-day coordination with external auditors, including PBC requests, schedules and audit timelines
• Research and document technical accounting matters (U.S. GAAP), including accounting memos
• Oversee the application of accounting policies across complex transactions such as consolidations, equity, debt and project-level arrangements
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and consistency across reporting entities
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies and technical accounting documentation
• Support implementation and ongoing compliance with internal controls over financial reporting
• Partner with FP&A and Corporate Finance & Compliance to align reporting with underlying accounting records
• Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting processes and audit readiness

Required profile

• 5-7 years of accounting experience
• Strong preference for a public accounting background (audit focus), ideally Big 4 or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required or strongly preferred
• Extensive experience with U.S. GAAP and audited financial statements in a multi-entity environment
• Demonstrated experience managing audit processes and working with external auditors
• Background in energy, infrastructure or project finance structures

• Ability to work with high precision under audit scrutiny
